The Dungeon Town, Karkassa

A log cabin in the woods is kinda sinister.

And so, I came to the dungeon's forest once again.

It's a thickly overgrown forest. Insect-type monsters attacked as I advanced, following the occasional sunny spots.

It's a forest, so I'd expect more non-insect monsters to attack too, you know? Like plant-types or animal-types. Doesn't this forest have any gorillas or something?

Cutting through the path would be a pain, so I'm just charging through in my invincible state.

Looking back, my trail had become a path. Before me stands the forest, and behind me a path is made…!

"Wait, I thought I was walking straight, but it's quite curved. No, wait, that's not it."

My footsteps were certainly straight. However, the trees were moving to hide the path.

I approached that tree and slapped it repeatedly. Hey, you. You can move, can't you? The jig is up… You're a Treant, aren't you?! So you can harvest Treant lumber here too!

"It's lumberjack Karina-chan's time to shine!! Hyahhaaa, logging tiiiime!"

Slash! When I cut down that tree with spatial magic, the surrounding trees rustled as if cowering in fear.

Ohhh? All the ones that just moved are Treants, huh? There's quite a lot of them.

When I smiled, the Treants rudely rustled as they tried to distance themselves from me. Hey hey, aren't you monsters supposed to attack intruders? Why so ready to flee? I don't even know if Treants have waists.

"The ones that run are Treants, the ones that don't run are well-trained Treants!"

Saying that, I cut down the nearby Treants one after another. Oh, a swarm of Red Hornets. Maybe this is the deep floor? Oops, a red mantis. Saw you yesterday too, though that was a different one. Oh, a huge centipede. First time seeing you. Slash.

I mowed down the somewhat strong-looking insect monsters that came close, along with the Treants.

Once defeated, I tossed them into my storage space where they vanished, so they wouldn't get underfoot.

Before I knew it, an open clearing with exposed dirt had formed.

It's quite spacious. With no trees in the way, I can see the clear blue sky beautifully… Hmm, it might be interesting to build a log cabin here with Treant wood… Nah, let's not. From the Treants' perspective, stacking and playing with their comrades' corpses right in front of them would be the ultimate evil.

"A log cabin in the woods is a common sight, but from the trees' perspective, it's kinda sinister."

Muttering such things to myself, I sat down on a Treant stump with a heave-ho. Ahhh, the overgrown forest has been cleared and I can see the clear blue sky nicely. But wait, what's going on here? Is that really sky up there?

Curious, I decided to float up toward the sky.

But after floating up a few meters, I suddenly sensed danger and stopped.

… Oh? There's a ceiling. Hmm? What is this?

I slapped the invisible, transparent ceiling repeatedly. Definitely a ceiling. And it feels like rock to the touch. If I had flown up without noticing, I would have painfully hit my head. Well, the ceiling would have been the one in pain.

I considered punching through it, but that would mean punching through the dungeon's walls and ceiling. If there are people above, they'd fall and that would be troublesome, so let's not.

Apparently, this is just a fixed space, and the sky is like a VR recreation or something… Hmm, I could probably do this with spatial magic too. I had considered making windows to bring in sunlight, but recreating an entire environment to this extent hadn't occurred to me. Good learning experience.

I should try making a beach inside my storage space where we can sunbathe sometime. I want to admire Dea-kun in a little girl's swimsuit. A bikini would be nice, but a one-piece would be better. It looks more childlike. With frills that just barely hide the bulge at the crotch being ideal.

Just then, I sensed someone approaching the clearing I had created. Not a monster. An adventurer, maybe?

This is bad. If they find out I was running wild solo, it'll be a hassle. Let me slip away quietly.

"Now then, where might the path deeper in be?"

I remained floating in the air while hiding myself with optical camouflage and searched for the path leading deeper into the dungeon.
