Investigation Quest: Hell

The dungeon's first adventurers arrive, and Kehma discovers valuable mechanics about DP generation: being imprisoned triples it, and being locked in doubles it. While monitoring the Uzoh Muzoh brothers trapped in the trial room, he considers the implications of these bonuses. Days pass as he watches their increasingly desperate escape attempts until they finally break the Golem Blade.

Our First Customers

The guild receptionist Silia arrives to establish a branch office near the inn. She offers Kehma a rescue quest to find missing C-Rank adventurers, with the incentive of temporary C-Rank recognition. Kehma accepts, knowing full well that Uzoh-Muzoh is still alive and trapped in the test room.

A Quest From the Guild

Kehma rescues Uzoh and Muzoh from the test room by weakening the needle trap with Create Golem and having Ichika smash through it. He demands payment for sacrificing his blade golem, only to be shocked when the grateful adventurers eagerly agree to pay four gold coins on top of the reimbursement.

Rescue

The dungeon is officially named Cave of Desires and rated E-Rank. Haku rushes to be the inn's first guest but arrives fourth. She stays in the specially-prepared suite room with running hot water, a massage chair, and luxurious bedding. Kehma prepares the A-Rank meal for her.

Haku's Point of View

From Haku's perspective, she experiences the suite room's wonders: unlimited hot water, the massage chair that nearly puts her to sleep, and the otherworldly cuisine. The food includes hamburger, Napolitan, fried prawns, and cream soda with vanilla ice cream, leaving her utterly satisfied.

Lodging, Suite Room 1

Haku savors the Avarice Meal dinner before bathing in the hot spring with Rokuko--without bathing clothes, per otherworld customs. Chloe succumbs to the bed's mysterious comfort, and Haku treasures the unprecedented experience of sleeping beside her beloved sister.

Inn, Suite Room 2

Haku appraises the suite at twenty-five gold coins per night and the meal at five gold coins minimum, teaching Kehma about proper cost calculations including transportation and labor. She transfers DP to Rokuko via finger rather than kiss, and warns that another dungeon exists on the opposite side of Tsuia Mountain.

One Night in the Suite: Results

Haku identifies the 10,000 DP gacha egg as a phoenix egg that needs extreme heat to hatch. She reveals that Flame Cavern's Dungeon Core is a salamander (Number 112) with a red dragon as its Dungeon Master. In exchange for a massage chair, Haku shares valuable information about the rival dungeon.

The Egg's Identity

The Cave of Desires officially opens for business, attracting adventurers Uzoh and Muzoh who become its first victims when they pull a magic sword and trigger a trap that imprisons them for days. Kehma discovers that imprisoning intruders triples DP generation--a mechanic he will ruthlessly exploit. Haku arrives as the fourth guest (much to her dismay) and experiences the suite's wonders: unlimited hot water, a massage chair, and otherworldly cuisine that leaves her utterly satisfied.


Dungeon Management, Begin!

Kehma experiments with the phoenix egg, confirming it revives after being destroyed. While drilling a tunnel through Tsuia Mountain, the golem accidentally breaks into Flame Cavern. Dungeon Core Number 112, a salamander with a yakuza voice, confronts them angrily. Kehma invents the 'Dogene' apology: sleeping twelve hours daily for a week.

Breakthrough?

Number 112 returns repeatedly, each time fooled again by Kehma's explanations about the Dogene apology. Kehma coins 'Ittetsu' from the numbers 1-10-2 as a nickname, while mentally calling him 'Easymander' for being such a pushover. Eventually, Ittetsu's master Redra, a red dragon in human form, comes to confront Kehma directly--but she seems just as easy to manipulate.

Easymander

Kehma negotiates with the Red Dragon for tunnel rights through Flame Cavern, which occupies eighty percent of Tsuia Mountain. He discovers dragons love shiny things and mesmerizes her with gold coins and a crystal knight figurine. Just as she agrees to a deal, Ittetsu remembers that Rokuko is allied with the Betrayer, Haku.

Negotiations With the Red Dragon

Kehma proposes a dungeon battle with irregular rules: if he can reach beyond the fifth floor in one day, he wins the tunnel territory. If he touches the core, he gets half the mountain. The Red Dragon eagerly accepts, not realizing the crystal knight figurine they just took is actually Kehma's golem - already deep inside their dungeon.

The Second Dungeon Battle

Eavesdropping

Through the crystal golem spy, Kehma eavesdrops on Redra and Ittetsu preparing for the dungeon battle. They plan to create a boss room on the fifth floor with Redra as the boss, confident no one could reach the fiftieth floor in a day. Kehma records everything while doing his daily twelve-hour Dogeza.

Information Gathering (Eavesdropping)

The dungeon battle begins with Kehma flooding Flame Cavern with water mixed with water fleas for mapping. The tsunami washes away most red lizards and reaches the third floor in thirty minutes. When Ittetsu drains the water through a new hole, Kehma prepares to launch his golem army.

Second Dungeon Battle, Commence

Kehma's armored golem corps systematically captures floors while using fire engine hoses to continue flooding. A separate force exploits the drainage hole Ittetsu created, turning his own countermeasure against him. Redra awaits in the fifth floor boss room, instantly vaporizing stone golems with her breath. The red dragon's power far exceeds expectations.

Second Dungeon Battle, Pursuit

Kehma's golems use a crystal figurine as a shield, knowing Redra cannot attack without destroying her treasure. Cornered by rising water and unable to fight back, Redra begs Ittetsu for help. Ittetsu negotiates a trade: the figurine in exchange for safe passage to the final boss room.

Second Dungeon Battle, Boss Battle 1

The golem corps ascends to the fiftieth floor boss room where Redra eagerly awaits battle. Using phoenix eggshell golems, Kehma executes his plan: an egg thrown into Redra's mouth deploys a blade in her lung, causing immense pain. When the real phoenix egg endlessly revives after destruction, Redra falls into a panicked frenzy. Meanwhile, the crystal golem sneaks through the unlocked treasure vault and touches the Dungeon Core.

Second Dungeon Battle: Boss Fight 2, Conclusion

While drilling a tunnel through Tsuia Mountain, Kehma accidentally breaches Flame Cavern and meets Dungeon Core No. 112--a salamander with a yakuza voice. After fooling the gullible "Ittetsu" multiple times, Kehma faces the dungeon's master Redra, a red dragon in human form. He wins the ensuing Dungeon Battle through outrageous tactics: a crystal knight figurine spy already inside their dungeon, flooding the cavern with water, and using phoenix eggshells to cause Redra to panic. Victory secures tunnel rights and a new source of passive income.
