The Dungeon Town, Karkassa
No way a human can beat a god.
"Now use this massage skill to make girls go 'ahiin ahiin' and stir up their embarrassment to earn delicious socks! socks… socks…!"
Along with Kami-sama's self-echoing voice, I returned to reality.
In the end, Kami-sama's just faithful to her own desires, isn't sheee!!
Uuu, I could've gotten something more useful like alchemy, why did I go with massage?
… Well, actually, I can easily afford to get it with my remaining SP.
Yeah, I can totally afford it. Even if I regret not picking the other one, I can still get it later with plenty of SP to spare.
It's hitting me again that I don't really have other uses for SP anyway.
At this point, I might as well just exchange it for alchemy or swordsmanship skills…
In other words, I fell right into Kami-sama's clever trap. Dammit!
There's no way a human can beat a god…!
"Haah, well, it's probably a pretty rare and useful skill anyway."
When I get back, I'll massage Dea-kun and the others. Yeah.
*
"I'm home~"
"Oh! Welcome back, Karina!"
"Welcohme back, Karina-oneesama. Good work."
"Thanks~ Huh, Dea-kun, are you doing maintenance on the golem? I said it could wait."
"I had nothing else to do, so…"
When I got back to base, Mashiro-san was drinking in the living room while Dea-kun was doing maintenance on the golems we'd used for the palanquin… Oh, he's dressed as a boy today. Still looks like an androgynous mechanic girl, though. Cute.
"Mashiro-san, where'd you get that alcohol?"
"Brought it from home. Nothing beats a drink after a bath!"
Seems she wanted to enjoy a post-bath drink now that the job was done.
Then Aishia came over with some snacks—rehydrated dried crawler meat that had plumped up nicely. Must've been something Mashiro-san brought too.
"Welcome home, Master. Would you like a bath? Or dinner?"
"Mm~ I'm getting hungry, so dinner I guess. It's a bit early, but time for supper."
Also, I wanted her to add 'Or perhaps… me?' as an option.
Well, I can't pick that one in front of Dea-kun though!
"Dea-sama, would you like dinner too?"
"Yes, this is a good stopping point… and, there."
Dea-kun closed the golem's hatch with a clunk and headed over.
He used [Cleanse] to remove the dirt and sat on the sofa.
"Hey Dea, what are you, a golem technician? Pretty impressive for a kid."
"Just operating them isn't that hard when you have a manual and magic stones."
"Our Dea-kun is a genius. Hmph."
"That ain't something for you to puff your chest out about. C'mon, sit here. You drink too, Karina, my treat—Dea, you can't drink though. Still too young for you."
"I keep telling you, I'm older though…"
"You're still a kid by elf standards."
I took a seat as Mashiro-san beckoned.
By the way, according to Mashiro-san's logic, Aishia counts as an adult by dwarf standards, so she's allowed to drink.
By Mashiro-san's logic.
"Sorry for the wait. Here's paella."
"Oh! I've been waiting!"
"Huh, that's pretty unusual! Give me some too. I'll pour you a drink in return."
"Sure~ It's not particularly rare in Véraldo though."
"Oneesama, it's quite rare in Karkassa, you know?"
I shared some of the paella Aishia made, and Mashiro-san poured me a drink in a mug. Ahh, bliss.
I can't help but be grateful to Kami-sama for this!
"Just keep working hard on sock deliveries to repay me."
Came Kami-sama's voice.
… Oh right, I left Kosshori-kun in the room.
Well, it's not like we're doing anything we need to hide, so whatever.
