Home Improvement Arc

A commercial jingle for some store.

"Huh, I can wear boy's clothes?"

"Yeah. I mean, you don't like girls' clothes, right? It's fine if you only humor my selfishness about half the week."

"… It's not like I actually dislike them, you know? More like… if it's your selfishness… I kinda want to indulge it…"

But having his shame wear down because of that is not what I currently want.

"Well, thinking about your future too, getting too used to wearing girls' clothes probably isn't good. I think. Yeah."

"… You're right. Understood."

And so, Dea-kun ended up spending about half the week dressed as a boy.

Since a week has an odd number of days, I told him he could pick whichever outfit he likes for that extra day… Now then, which will it be? That part was Siesta's idea.

As expected of Siesta. Making him choose for himself is devious. She says it'll also serve as a gauge for whether he currently thinks of himself more as a boy or as a femboy.

Once he's fully transitioned into femboy mode, a whole other shame plan will be waiting for him. A premeditated crime…!

At that point, Aishia was staring in shock.

"Eh… Dea-sama, you're a boy?"

"… Of course I am. Did I never say so?"

"But you're this cute…!?"

Yeah. He's this cute, and yet.

"You're this cute!!?"

"You don't have to say it twice…"

"Well, Dea-kun's gender is just Dea-kun. Boys aren't normally this cute, you know?"

"… T-that's true… H-he is this cute, after all."

"I don't know how I feel about you just accepting that."

With that, Dea-kun ended up spending about half the week dressed as a boy.

Either way, he just looks like a girl crossdressing as a boy, so I've got no complaints.

I really do want to check regularly whether it's still actually attached, though…

Right now I'm remotely driving the Magic Engine Car "Star-kun No. 2" from inside my Spatial Magic storage space.

Not using it as a Magic Tool, but more like playing vroom-vroom with a toy using Spatial Magic.

Vroom-vroom play is fun.

I mean, it's better to have eyewitness accounts, data on how long it takes to reach places at various speeds, how dirty and scuffed up the car gets, things like that. Information and physical evidence are important. Yeah.

Watching it all from my window in the sky, I spotted a carriage up ahead of Star-kun No. 2 being attacked by monsters. The classics: goblins and orcs. So there were still enough of them left to come out of the forest and attack people even after culling them, huh.

Should I have it go around them… Nah, let's help them out. The fight looks pretty even.

I slipped out of Storage and sat down in the driver's seat. I designated the Magic Engine Car "Star-kun No. 2" as invincible, veered slightly off the highway, and plowed straight through the goblins and orcs.

It was a total traffic accident!

But this world doesn't have any laws about traffic accidents between Magic Engine Cars and monsters!

"Heck yeah! 'Scuse me, just passing through!"

"Eh? Ah, th-thank you for your hel—"

Leaving their words of thanks behind, I sped away. Alright, I greeted them too, so that should be enough. I returned to my Storage space.

Man, I did a good deed.

"Master~, how about seafood soup for dinner tonight?"

"Ooh, sounds great. Seriously though, it's amazing how you can cook too, Bard skill and all."

"It's a must-have skill for traveling, you know~. And it's easier to sing about food if I've cooked it myself. La la la, bounty of the blue sea~, heaped generously into the ultimate dish~, fragrant fennel and the scent of the tide~, the chew of the clams~, crisp-cut Kraken slices dancing on your tongue~, tender white fish swimming in your mouth~, oh come everyone, let's eat, Aoyagi-tei's seafood soup~♪"

Humming what was basically a commercial jingle for some restaurant I've never heard of, Aishia took ingredients out of the fridge-space (the box connected to Storage).

The ingredients we bought in Solasidor and Véraldo are always fresh and ready to use as much as we want (we use them normally to some extent, then I duplicate them when we're running low to top things up). Our cooking options are really going to flourish.

Copying finished dishes is nice too, but food someone cooked for you by hand is on another level.

In fact, I'm planning to avoid duplicating cooked food as much as possible. We need to actually spend money on living expenses and keep the economy moving. Thanks to Aishia, we never have to worry about meals anyway!

Man, Aishia really is a hidden gem. If you're going to get married, it's gotta be to someone who can cook, right… Wait, no, no. Shieldon-senpai's lesson, Shieldon-senpai's lesson…! Phew.

That was close. I almost let myself be charmed by Aishia… Well, it's not like I can ever let her go anyway! She's privy to too many of my secrets.
