Boso Runs Wild
Arc Eight: The Library-City Dungeon and the Sacrifice
A dungeon grows by drawing energy from the emotions and lives of people (intelligent beings, including Beasts and Asura). For this reason, offering sacrifices is effective, and because the Library-City Dungeon took some 12,000-odd lives as sacrifice in the Battle of Tsukuba and 130,000 in the Battle of Awa-Sō, it has grown to an abnormal scale.

Foot-soldiers, ashigaru, and footmen numbered 3,000; non-combatants such as menial servants, maidservants, courtesans, and merchants came to roughly 2,000; and the baggage train hauling daihachi handcarts numbered some 5,000. About 10,000 all told.

→ The humans and Beasts were crushed to death by a suspended ceiling at the northwest gate. The Preta were buried in a pit before the castle gate, and their heads split open. Some of the beastfolk fled.
【Arc 8, Episode 132】
The Awa-Sō mixed force, about 130,000. The main body numbered some 30,000, of whom around 10,000 were combatants; compared to the Tsukuba army, it had more armed farmers and a smaller baggage train. Some 100,000 hired Preta.
