Preparations for the Third Dungeon Battle

Machine Gun 1,000 DP Gacha (x150)

The furious one hundred fifty consecutive 1,000 DP gacha spins came to an end.

As for the results, we got a total of ten monsters, with the other one hundred forty being skill scrolls and potions, along with miscellaneous goods and armor.

To get straight to the conclusion, we made a killing. Though I already knew we would the moment Rokuko started spinning.

Let's start by looking at the monsters.

We got a flying squid, two marlins, five sharks, and as jackpot monsters, a baby turtle with a diamond shell and an ammonite.

… Why are all the creatures from the gacha water-type? Is it location-based, or is it thanks to Rokuko's incredible luck? Either way, there was nowhere to store the sharks and such on land, so it was a relief that we were near the sea. Where are they now? Running free in the ocean. It'd cause a huge commotion if there were people on the beach.

Oh, the flying squid was a mysterious creature that could swim through the air as if it were underwater. I don't know how it works being amphibious like that, but it's pretty amazing. A flying squid would even surprise a certain plumber.

Now, about the turtle.

"Oh my, this is… a Jewel Turtle. The diamond type at that. It's still a juvenile, but even then it would cost at least 50,000 DP to purchase, you know?"

"… About how long and how big does it grow?"

Currently, it's about the size of those little green turtles you can buy at festivals… And the diamond on its back is a single highly transparent crystal of that size. The base of the shell is silver-colored, like it could be made into a necklace as-is.

At this point, it already looks like it'd be worth quite a sum.

"On average, it grows about one centimeter in diameter per year. Oh, come to think of it, raising Jewel Turtles is quite convenient for increasing DP. You can recoup your investment after five years, and everything after that is profit. I'd recommend it to Dungeon Cores who don't use human ranches… Don't tell anyone though, since spreading the method would diminish its value."

"Y-Yes, ma'am."

Five years is a pretty long-term commitment. If it costs 50,000 DP to obtain one in the first place, dungeons with low income couldn't even get started.

… Well, thinking of it as an investment, if the returns are guaranteed, our current income would allow us to get a few.

"… Oh right, I wonder if Rokuko-chan's ring was made by raising a Jewel Turtle. First you make an orichalcum ring, then attach it to a ruby type's back. Raise it for about a year and you'd have an orichalcum ring embedded in ruby. Then you carve it out… that might work? Though you'd need to carefully maintain it so no other impurities get mixed in… Alright, I'll have a dwarf make a matching ring for Rokuko-chan using this method…"

Haku-san started muttering to herself in contemplation, so let's check out the remaining rare result, the ammonite.

The ammonite's official monster name was apparently Ammonite Knight.

First, its size. The shell is about as big as a low table. The spiral pattern just keeps going around and around, not easy on the eyes.

Inside, like a nautilus, tentacles are wriggling about. Pretty gross when you look up close. And it glides smoothly through the seawater. Its defense is high, making it quite useful.

And the knight part… well, it's a knight. It uses a sword and shield. Its movements underwater are just like a knight's on land. Quite the formidable one. It does get weaker on land, but it's not like it becomes completely immobile.

By the way, weren't there a lot of tentacles this time? The tentacle slime, the manga octopus, and even the flying squid has tentacles.

… Ah, could it be that Rokuko's tentacle x goblin fantasy was reflected in the results?!

Nah, probably not.

Oh, and here's what we got besides monsters.

Potions

  • 28x Recovery Potion

  • 35x Advanced-tier Recovery Potion

  • 12x Mana Potion

  • 14x Advanced-tier Mana Potion

  • 4x Status Recovery Potion

  • 1x Berserk Potion

  • 1x Elixir

Scrolls

  • 3x Scroll of Slash

  • 10x Scroll of Ice Bolt

  • 4x Scroll of Lightning

  • 1x Scroll of Grow Weed

  • 1x Scroll of Create Golem

  • 1x Scroll of Summon Gargoyle

  • 2x Scroll of Storage

  • 13x Scroll of Healing

  • 1x Scroll of Area Heal

Miscellaneous

  • 1x Turtle Scrub Brush

  • 1x Underwater Motor (for plastic models)

  • 4x Orichalcum Coin

  • 1x School Swimsuit (Old Type: Navy Blue)

  • 1x Bikini Armor

  • 1x "Ocean Man" T-shirt

One hundred forty items in total.

… Why are there more Advanced-tier Recovery Potions than regular Recovery Potions? And that Elixir, it's the thing that fully restores you, right? It's an ointment, huh.

As for scrolls, why did thirteen Scrolls of Healing that should cost 100,000 DP each come out? And there's even a Scroll of Area Heal, which is even higher tier. There's even a Scroll of Summon Gargoyle. This is insane.

As for the miscellaneous items, the underwater motor and orichalcum coins make no sense. What good is a motor without batteries? And why did the old-style school swimsuit, bikini armor, and "Ocean Man" T-shirt come out? Are you trying to dress up Rokuko, 1,000 DP gacha?

Oh, Rokuko was happy when the turtle scrub brush came out, saying "Ooh, here it is, a scrub brush!" Don't be happy about getting a dud.

By the way, a single Elixir costs 300,000 DP, and a single Scroll of Area Heal costs 250,000 DP. Just exchanging these two from the catalog would hit the 500,000 DP limit we had this time. The Orichalcum Coins are also 100,000 DP each. And we got four of them.

… We spent 150,000 DP and got over 2,000,000 DP worth of stuff. That's not just "positive returns" anymore—that's a cheat, a total cheat! Over 1,000% profit, keep it coming!

That said, when asked how much of this can be used for the Dungeon Battle—actually, it's not that it can't be used. The Scroll of Summon Gargoyle is incredible.

[Grow Weed] is apparently just a spell that grows grass, but I could probably grow trees with it. I can try that once we're back somewhere Haku-san can't see. "Bringing in" timber is also an option.

Splashing Berserk Potion on invading enemies to make them kill each other would be good too.

As for Haku-san's reaction to these results:

"I wonder if she has some kind of skill like Hero Wataru's [Super Luck]…?"

I also thought that might be the case.

Rokuko's luck must be from some skill. Rather, I want it to be.

Meanwhile, the Rokuko in question was playing around by poking the scrub brush.

"By the way, what's so great about that scrub brush?"

"Huh? You got one before, Kehma. They match now, don't they? Aren't you happy?"

No, even if they match, scrub brushes are kind of a weird thing to be happy about.
