The Third Dungeon Battle
Super Transformation
I asked for an explanation of why it suddenly jumped to Lv 3, but the only thing I understood was how to use the [Super Transformation Lv 3] that had been planted in my brain.
The effects are as follows:
Can transform into what you imagine Lv times per 24 hours (3 times at Lv 3)
Lv 1 Effect: Can transform into something that actually exists
Lv 2 Effect: Can partially mimic the abilities of what you've transformed into
Lv 3 Effect: Once every 72 hours, even if you die while transformed, the transformation will cancel and you will revive
Magical power is consumed during transformation. Can cancel at will or when magical power is depleted.
The more drastically different the form, the more intense the magical power consumption. Also, abilities are restricted while transformed.
I don't know the Lv 4+ effects, but what I have is already incredible. As long as it exists, I can transform into it—truly a cheat skill. Plus I can revive once every three days. Though depending on the situation, reviving might just mean instant death again.
"Was that the 'Announcement' just now? It felt similar to our 'Menu.'"
"Eh, could everyone hear that?"
"No, I just observed it a little. So, what kind of skill did you get?"
Should I tell him, or should I keep it as a trump card? For now, I'll just tell him the name.
I feel like I shouldn't say it with Haku-san here, but it's [Father]'s request. Refusing to answer seems more problematic. He already exposed that I'm a Hero right in front of Haku-san. If I hide it, they might think I'm harboring rebellious intentions.
Alright, let's answer.
"You gave me that bonus too, so I'll tell you the skill name. It's [Super Transformation]."
"[Super Transformation], huh. You got an interesting skill."
Hm? Does he know what it does?
"There was someone in the past who had it too. They got up to [Super Transformation Lv 7], I think. They could perfectly copy an enemy's form along with their abilities, and even stack their own abilities on top. It got pretty incredible."
What the heck? Wouldn't that be invincible?
"I believe we dealt with that one by overwhelming them about 1 against 500."
"That's right, Haku played a big role back then."
Ah, so they lost to sheer numbers. Right, it's not like I can split myself.
… Though there probably are skills that let you create clones.
"So Kehma-san was a God's Vanguard…? I knew you were from another world, but still…"
"Nah, I'm just a regular hero with no intention of destroying dungeons. I didn't even have a cheat skill until now. I don't consider myself a God's Vanguard either."
"I see, then it's fine — so, about that skill, could you tell me more details? Specifically, could you show me a transformation?"
Okay~, order received~.
"There's a limit to how many times I can transform, so I can't just show it freely… What should I transform into?"
"Let's see… can you transform into Rokuko-chan?"
… Can I? Let's try it.
I pictured Rokuko in my mind and said [Super Transformation]. I can activate the skill without speaking, but it's probably better to say it out loud in this situation.
Whoa, my vision went all wobbly. It warped and—oh, I'm at Rokuko's eye level now.
"Ooh, you really look exactly like me."
"So I look exactly like Rokuko now. My clothes are still my jersey though — so clothing isn't replicated. And my voice changed too."
The clothes I was wearing are now baggy on me.
"Don't look under those clothes, okay? Got it?"
"… I wasn't thinking about that at all."
"If you touch that body all over, I'll punch you."
"Well, I am curious whether it reproduces parts I've never seen. Rokuko, do you have any scars I don't know about?"
"Nope. There's no way I'd have any scars that Kehma doesn't know about."
"Ah — I was startled that there were two Rokuko-chans, but wait, I can't let that statement slide!"
Yeah, yeah, it's a false accusation. I released the transformation.
"… I'm careful to make sure Rokuko doesn't get even a single scratch. Feel free to use lie-detecting magic or tools if you want."
"Is that really true?"
"Absolutely."
"… It appears to be true."
Oh, she really did use lie-detection magic. But it's convenient being able to prove your innocence so easily in times like this. As long as you're actually innocent.
"Let me also ask — you have no intention of harming Rokuko-chan, correct?"
"Of course not. I swear to god."
"Ahahahaha! Swearing to god right in front of me! How amusing!"
[Father] suddenly burst into laughter.
Ah, right. The god is the one sending Heroes. That's the enemy camp. There's also the theory that [Father] is a god too, wasn't there? No wonder [Father] found it hilarious.
"I understand… By the way, could you transform into Rokuko-chan one more time? I'd like you both to say 'I love you, Onee-sama' from either side."
"Ah, sorry, there's a limit on transformations, so I'll have to do that test another time."
"Oh, how unfortunate… Then, can you transform into this letter? Preferably, into its contents."
Haku-san showed me an envelope… Hoho, this is a straightforward verification test.
First, can I transform into inanimate objects?
Second, can I transform into something I haven't directly seen, whose contents I don't know?
Third, can I reproduce the contents of the letter?
… As expected of Haku-san. She can test all of that with just one transformation. She's trying to extract as much information as possible while I'm still cooperative. When did she even prepare that?
Well, whatever. I thought about the contents of the letter and used [Super Transformation].
"…[Super Transformation]."
My body warped and transformed… Hmm, it seems I just became the envelope. As expected, thinking about contents I don't know isn't enough information to transform into.
I fell onto the floor with a flutter. Seeing the Master Room from this perspective is kind of fresh… Ah, Haku-san is approaching. I can see the white under her skirt. Knee-high socks under a long skirt are nice too… oh. She picked me up. So this is the viewpoint, but how am I even seeing?
"Oh my. Even the address I didn't show you has been reproduced. But it seems you couldn't transform into the contents? Perhaps directly seeing it is important… Maybe I should try tearing it a little? I'm curious about the damage when you revert."
Eek!? Stop!? Ah, I can't talk. Hey, don't put force into it, I'll tear! I'll seriously tear! The Lv 3 ability says I can revive even if I die but stooop!
With a pop, I released the transformation and returned to human form. In Haku-san's arms.
"Kya! Don't suddenly revert, Kehma-san — oh?"
"Uwah! … Phew, I'm back. Crap, I thought I was going to die…"
"Kehma!? H-hey, put on clothes, clothes—!"
Eh?
I looked and found my clothes on the floor.
… Ahh, right. I turned into an envelope, so my clothes just stayed where they were.
In other words, I was being princess-carried by Haku-san… completely naked.
"Kyaaaa—!? Haku-san, you pervert—!!"
"How rude. Calling someone a pervert… If anyone's the pervert here, it's you, Kehma-san. You're the naked one after all."
"How are you so calm!? That's scary!"
"I'm used to seeing naked adventurer corpses and such. Don't worry, you're on the cute side."
Stop it already! That phrasing is wounding me!
"Ah, but Rokuko-chan shouldn't look at something so dirty, okay?"
"Eh, y-yes! I'm sorry, Haku-neesama! I-I'm not looking, Kehma! Don't worry!"
"Y-yeah…"
… And so I put my clothes back on, a little teary-eyed.
Meanwhile, [Father] was laughing so hard he was clutching his stomach.
Sniff, I'm never doing that again.
