The authentication for two Secretary AIs had gone through. That meant she could now summon them at will.

"Now then, first up is Sebastian, since his profile is pretty much finalized already～."

A character creation window popped up. Starting with the profile, of course.

Karona selected the "Butler" type, but then she noticed there were other types besides Butler and Maid.

"Oh my, there's a 'Strategist' type as well? I only had eyes for Butler and Maid, so I'd missed it entirely."

"koumei?"

"i can already hear him going 'please wait, your lordship, now is the time to watch and see'"

"sounds like it'd be crazy useful for dungeon strategy support"

"Well, I've already decided on Butler and Maid, so that settles it～! Oh, if I write out a background, the AI will infer the personality from that and fill in the gaps automatically? Hohou."

And so she started typing the old-mercenary-turned-elderly-butler concept, complete with his childhood backstory and everything else, straight into the "Background" field.

"… Like so! Yosh!"

When she pressed the decide button, a "Generating…" window appeared, and after a short while, polygons clattered together to form a door.

From it stepped a single elderly butler. Befitting a former mercenary, his build was sturdy, his white hair swept straight back. He wore a monocle, and his moustache was splendidly bushy.

"Oooh…! S-Sebas… is Sebas alright?"

Karona spoke to him timidly, and the elderly butler, Sebas, smiled warmly.

"Indeed, Ojou-sama. Sebas is here. I look forward to serving you from this day forward."

"……!"

What a gravelly, dignified voice. Karona felt it rumble through her whole body.

"Y-yes! Of course! Of course～!!"

"Ojou-sama, your face is looking rather undignified, is it not?"

"Th-this is, um! I-I'm just so happy that S-Sebas will be serving m-me that it slipped out～! Please, forgive it!"

"Ho-ho-ho, if that is all, then say no more. Nothing brings a butler greater honor."

"ojou's grinning ear to ear lol"

"karona-jou… i get it. i'd make that exact face if a maid showed up for me too"

Karona took a deep breath. Still, she knew she'd probably be grinning like an idiot for the rest of the day no matter what she did. After all, the butler of her dreams was now serving her, personally…!

"Ojou-sama. Shall I brew you some tea?"

"… Y-yes! Please do! Oh, and I'd like some cookies as well. Bring those too."

"Understood."

Sebas glided out and returned with a tea set. He poured the tea from an antique pot and gently placed it before Karona. Alongside it, cookies were arranged neatly on a plate.

"oooh… the AI butler even brews tea"

"lucky. i'd drink until my stomach was bloated"

"inside BCD food and drinks are all-you-can-have, so drink as much as you want…!"

"… Fufu, thank you, Sebas… Could you cover your ears for a moment?"

"As you wish. I shall cover them for about thirty seconds, Ojou-sama."

Karona took one crisp sip of tea. And then…

"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! Amazing, amazing, so amaaaaaaazing!! This, this, THIS! This is it! A butler! A butler, I say～～!! The Sebas I've always dreamed of! Mine! MY very own! Serving me! The teaaaaaaaaaaa! The tea is so gooooood!! It's supposed to be the exact same BCD default tea set I drink every day, but just because Sebas brewed it, it's 200 percent better～～!!! The cookies are so yummmm!! Whew, BCD really is a god-tier game～!!!"

"so that's why she needed sebas to cover his ears"

"nope, this is the kind of thing that makes you never want to come back to the real world"

For the record, the thirty seconds were long since up, but Sebas was still covering his ears for her.
