The Aspiring-Ojou-sama-type Dungeon Streamer
Streaming with a Butler and Maid
"Ojou-sama. Please allow me to tend to your hair."
"Yes, Kokuyou, by all means~!"
Karona couldn't quite keep the delight out of her voice, though she was doing her absolute best to feign composure and answer with grace.
"ojou's vibrating with excitement lol"
"getting her hair done by a maid, now that's peak Ojou-sama"
"it's VR so there's no actual point. but that's what makes it good!"
Kokuyou ran a comb through Karona's hair. Starting from the tips, working her way up bit by bit toward the crown. Like a hoe tilling a field, carefully and patiently, a little at a time.
"Aahh, this feels so nice… fufu, ufufu."
"Ojou-sama's hair is so smooth the comb glides through effortlessly, even without any care on my part… Chu."
"Yes. I'm quite proud of my drill curls~… hm? Did you just say something?"
"Not a thing."
"ah, there's her dark side (figured it out)"
"yep, just as the character settings said"
"pressed a kiss to her hai— (comment has been deleted)"
"Hm? Well, never mind. Now then, being waited on hand and foot by a butler and maid makes for a lovely Ojou-sama stream, but let's move right along and showcase the AI Secretaries' capabilities!"
"Certainly, Ojou-sama. If I may, then, allow this Sebas to walk the audience through the AI Secretary's catalog specifications?"
"Please do~! I've read the catalog so many times the pages are nearly falling apart, so I know it all by heart, but explain it properly so everyone else can follow along, would you?"
"Indeed. Understood."
Sebas pressed a hand to his chest and bowed at the waist, and Karona found herself swooning at the gesture for no real reason at all. She really ought to be used to this by now, but she hoped her audience would let it slide for at least the rest of the day.
"The AI Secretary is able to support all of you explorers in your various activities. For example… on the streaming side, there's archive management. Simple clip-video creation. Thumbnail photography. We also have features such as comment filters."
"thumbnail shoots and auto-clipping, nice"
"comment filters… ah, so that's what just happened…"
"hmm, still, 50k yen is pretty steep. especially for ojou who's getting a second one on top at another 50k"
"Hmm. On the matter of pricing, then. The AI Secretary is a growing AI built on 'Debris' technology. Because of this, it's unavoidable that each individual unit carries its own fee. Please think of us as comparable to a weapon. We may be transferred between owners, and if you specialize your Secretary's usage, their abilities will grow in that direction, so there is genuine merit to running multiple units."
"ahh, so it uses Debris tech"
"legit growth-type system. nice"
"being able to hand them down when you retire is actually pretty sweet"
"In a sense, we're tamed humanoid monsters, so do think of us as being on par with a mid-tier weapon. You'd want to keep a spare weapon on hand for peace of mind, no?"
Sebas fielded the comments and answered them smoothly. "Debris" refers to the sediment of electronic thought that gives birth to dungeons. BCD has successfully harnessed that Debris to create growable player avatars and weapons capable of enduring dungeon runs.
And the crowning achievement of that technology is the AI Secretary.
"In other words, Sebas and Kokuyou can be called 'living AIs.' If anything, since you don't need to pay them food expenses or wages, they're incredibly good value for Secretaries~!"
"Ho-ho-ho. Just as Ojou-sama says, we are quite the bargain. My thanks for the supplementary remark."
"Oh-ho-ho-ho, you're very welcome~!"
"i see. so rerolling their personality isn't really a good idea"
"in a normal game, this would be the kind of thing that makes retiring painful…!"
"BCD is state-run for as long as dungeons keep being born, so it's fine"
"That said, while we may be on the same footing as players and weapons, bringing us into a dungeon is currently prohibited. It's possible the restriction may be lifted in the future, but for now, please think of the AI Secretary purely as support. Ah, we can also use the stream system to relay monster information to you, or help you with puzzles."
"aka, the designated competent-viewer slot"
"can't send superchats though lol"
"ah, but can't they do auto-potion?"
"Yes, with your permission to use potions, that is possible. It is turned off by default."
"W-well, I'll think about that one later, later~!"
The feature that automatically spent her money was off by default.
And Karona showed no intention whatsoever of flipping it on. Because, well, she had no money.
"For now, the most we can offer is recommending dungeons to you."
"I could also warn Ojou-sama about first-visit-killer dungeons, like the one you nearly got caught by before!"
"A-ah, that one I cleared just fine, so it doesn't count, it doesn't~!?"
Kokuyou, while combing Karona's hair, seemed to already be scanning through the archives. The viewers had a distinct feeling she was probably even making her own personal clips of her beloved Ojou-sama on the side.
