Reactions to the Clipped Video

Today, just like every other day, Karona had cleared her dungeon run without any trouble. During the post-clear chat break, the comment came in.

[Kusashige Renga]: "by the way, how'd that clip video turn out?"

The clip video. This was the one someone had put together back when Karona had stumbled into an accident on a corporate (Pekoshi) daily dungeon that had turned into a first-visit-killer, only for her to somehow clear it exactly like any other day.

"the comment section was insane too. they were calling you slime batter, slime golfer, lololol"

Clap, clap. With a brisk pair of hand-claps, Sebastian deftly set up the environment.

As Karona stood there getting emotional, Kokuyou nudged her glasses into place and urged her on eagerly.

"ojou, kokuyou-san looks like she can't hold it in any longer. hurry up"

Poch. Karona pressed the play button.

"Once-a-day corporate dungeon rounds… haah, what a hassle, but it's part of the daily routine～."

And right about here, the scene shifted. Karona strolled through the dungeon like she was on a leisurely walk, batting bakoon, bakoon at the slimes hopping out at her with her Mithril parasol.

"the slimes are popping so satisfyingly lol"

"That one right there was the nasty one. The Highly Acidic Bubblish Slime."

"As expected of Ojou-sama, such a dazzling display of slime-slaying! Like a conductor's baton…! And the slimes, the timpani of shrieks to match!"

Highly Acidic Bubblish Slime. It was a high-level slime with deadly poison, draining HP at terrifying speed from even the slightest touch.

Subtitles appeared on-screen, adding supplementary explanations.

"without an acid-resistant weapon like mithril, the weapon takes massive damage and breaks"

"touch it even a little and your HP drains fast. walk in with daily-mission-level vibes and you die"

"on a daily run you wouldn't pour much HP in, so effectively instant death"

The more you thought about it, the more Karona's string of coincidences had all been falling in her favor.

Karona's weapon just so happened to be the "Mithril parasol" she'd picked purely for looks.

The Highly Acidic Bubblish Slime's HP just so happened to be exactly the amount Karona could knock out.

Karona just so happened to have been hunting for an easy way to mow down slimes to pass the time on her daily runs.

And on top of all that, there just so happened to be very few players besides Karona who both used high-acid-resistance weapons and ran daily laps like clockwork.

… Even if Karona herself was still grinding dailies to this day.

"normally, players using mid-tier-or-better gear have graduated from grinding dailies for pocket change"

"pretty much the only people going in were curiosity-killed-the-cat types who'd heard about the beginner-killer reputation"

For a daily dungeon publicly running as a CM, this was, in its own way, something of a success.

Well, Karona hadn't bought the drink… After all, her drinking water of choice was, as a rule, tap water.
