Kon-Karona~! (Stream Start)

"Kon-Karona～! I'm the aspiring-ojou-sama B-Caster, Karona Ryutanji, at your service～!"

It was a weekday evening, so Karona kicked off her stream.

You might be surprised, but even a full-time B-Caster keeps a firm grip on what day it is. In fact, precisely because this is her full-time job, she's meticulous about stream timing and does her best not to miss the hours when viewer counts peak.

Her daily missions are just a logged record, so those get their own separate slot.

… Naturally there are plenty of rivals, but for better or worse, this is the time slot when her regulars drop in.

"Oh my, so such things do happen. Hmm? But I was at Pekoshi today myself, you know. For the daily. Naturally, I put my daily streams in the archive list. I don't recall anything being out of the ordinary, though."

"Oh my? Off you go, then～… Ahem. In any case, I shall continue the stream."

Her viewer count was sitting at three, but Karona decided to push on regardless.

"Now, about this Secretary AI. From what I've heard, you can customize them into a butler-type or maid-type and place them in your room as a character! A must-buy, no ifs about it— is what I'd love to say, but purchasing both would completely drain my savings. And so, today, I thought I might head out on a little adventure～!"

"kon-karo. just got here, what adventure?"

"Fufufu. At long last, yes! You see, up until now I've only ever tackled solo dungeons, haven't I? So, um, I thought I'd make a charge at a multi dungeon! The rewards are higher, after all!"

The viewer who'd left to check the archive had returned.

Spreading it around, though… Karona honestly thought it had been an ordinary dungeon like any other.

"I don't mind at all. You may even make a clip of it, if you'd like～?"

"Parent registration?… Ah, profits flow back to the source of the clip, I see… In other words, passive income!? The first step toward riches! I welcome it wholeheartedly, a grand-storm clearance sale～!!!"

"ok, since we're at it i'll cut it all cool. gonna work on it while watching the stream"

It was the first time anyone had ever made a clip of Karona. "I'm like a top-tier streamer, kyaa～!" she squealed with delight.

"I shall be looking forward to it～! … Oh, right, right. So today I intend to tackle a multi dungeon! But I don't particularly want to run into people, so somewhere unpopular. Still, I do want that butler-type Secretary AI, so I shall push myself a bit～!"

With that, Karona opened the dungeon list. On her holographic window, the dungeons she'd pre-screened began to display.

"ojou's multi debut huh, gl～"

"oh, this one's got a decent reward. first to clear takes the whole pot"

"that one disables retirement, so it's prob a death-game type. depending on the settings, the host profits no matter what the players do. there's always a few of these floating around"

"Eek, a death-game means PvP, doesn't it… I haven't the confidence for that, so those are a pass."

For a self-professed C-tier chicken like Karona, fighting other people is simply too high a hurdle. At the very least, it's not something to attempt on one's multi debut.

Besides, dungeon clearing doesn't inherently require PvP in the first place… she mumbled to herself by way of excuse.

Then, as she skimmed what was left of the list, something caught her eye.

Checking the details of the "PvP Attacks Disabled" rule, it turned out that if a player did somehow attack another, the attacker had to pay a fine equivalent to the HP damage dealt to the victim. A wonderful rule where even accidental friendly fire cost you nothing.

"nice, so PvP is literally off the table. they should add this to other dungeons too"

"With this, even if players do clash, it'd only be in, say, a race. I've decided. Today, I'm going there～!"

Karona pressed the button marked Entry.

The connection established, and the transfer countdown began.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one… zero! Karona, heading out～!!"
