The Karonites and the Porters mingled, both sides praising Karona for a match well fought.

The comment feed was the fastest it had been all day, and celebratory SuperChats for clearing an actual, honest-to-goodness real dungeon were flying in from every direction.

"That was dicey, desuwa. My limbs are taking digestion damage. Ow ow ow…"

"Karona-chan, you did it! Heal!"

Sakura picked up the mithril mace that had dropped when the Huge Slime vanished, then cast a healing spell. The red segment of Karona's HP gauge shrank dramatically.

"Oh my? I'm healed!? Th-this is healing magic!! My first time on the receiving end… ohhh, my HP is regenerating too! Priests are seriously amazing, desuwa."

"Think of it as my congratulations gift. This one's on the house."

Sakura smiled brightly, the gentle compassionate smile of a proper priestess.

"Ah, so normally it costs money, yes."

"Well, naturally. MP costs money too. Otherwise I could earn infinite cash just casting spells."

Healing via spell was actually a bit cheaper than healing with potions or SuperChat Potions. As long as the fee stayed within that price gap, negotiating a heal from a priest was a perfectly valid option.

"Was it really alright? I ought to give all of you some sort of thank-you gift in return, um…"

"Temporary or not, you were a party member. Don't worry about it, Karona-jou."

"Honestly, without you, Karona-chan, we'd probably have straight-up lost."

"You covered our share of the work, so really, it's just necessary expenses. Not paying that back would be flat-out rude!"

Put that way, Karona found herself convinced.

And as they were chatting, a player strong enough to have pushed through the dungeon to the boss room in this short a window arrived, offered Karona's group their congratulations, and headed back out.

"… Aaaaaghhhhh!! Didn't make iiiiiit!!"

"Damn it, I thought this was gonna be a nice payday. Disband, disband! Good work, everyone!"

"Dammit, congrats! Later!"

From their perspective, it was probably a case of, "we could've turned back already, but since we made it this far, might as well peek into the boss area."

Or maybe pushing far enough to reach the boss room earned them a bump in contribution rewards.

"Thanks, be sure to check out Dungeon Braver! And, Karona-jou, should we head on back too?"

"Oh! Yes, indeed. I can't wait to see the results screen～!"

A real dungeon ends on the first clear, one player only.

With this dungeon conquered, all that was left for it now was to fade away.

"By the way, what happens to the original dungeon, 'Slime Falls'?"

"Hm? Ah. The data itself still exists, so I imagine it'll be redeployed. Depends on the Dungeon Master, though."

The question, Yamato explained, was whether the Dungeon Master would re-release a dungeon whose gimmick had been cracked.

If they did, it would probably be relaunched with at least some tweaks.

"It was such a fine dungeon for Slime Golf practice, so I was just thinking it would be convenient if we got another chance at it, is all."

"That's a fair point."

And with that, the return sequence began.

"Well then, everyone, thank you so very much～! I'm truly glad my very first collab was with all of you!"

"Yeah. I never imagined the dungeon would Awaken on us, but it was a great experience."

"Got Slime Golf down too, with a bat at least! And seriously, you were batting spells back, Yamato. That's gonna be ridiculously useful from here on out."

"I think I could at least manage to swat projectiles down now, too."

At which point Karona let out an "Ah" and added a note.

"Once you learn enough different swings, eventually you'll be able to bat things back from any posture, even while walking. Do keep up your training, please?"

"Come to think of it, in that very first video that started all this, she was knocking slimes around while walking…"

"Guess I'm practicing swinging a bat on the move…"

"Given how wide a bat's strike zone is, it's… doable, I think…?"
