Into the Game
Back to the Wiki
The confusion on the "Kaito a Luise" wiki had reached an absurd level.
Especially the front page comments.
Arguments over mismatched game genres — the SD display people should make their own wiki, it's confusing having the same name, wait the official page URL is the same, mine's voxel display so where should I go, hey mine's pixel art and it's called xxxx anyway, that's definitely a different game with a different title — it was a complete mess.
But that was only until noon today.
Probably triggered by my coworker's lunch break comment: "Voxel display unlocked after leveling up yo. Could the systems be different even in the same game?" along with a voxel screenshot, everyone started presenting their own information.
Also, the "Story" section had been revived as a place for sharing individual cases.
There was now a convention to include the initial graphics style when commenting about story cases.
Although there were only two examples, the RPG-ers all seemed to have adventurer starts.
Beautiful 3D action like mine and my coworker's was for commoner or helpless ojou-sama starts.
There was one voxel display case too: "The Blacksmith's Apprentice Who Lost an Arm".
Curious about the "lost an arm" wording, I checked the details.
During a work accident, their dominant arm got burned off. They were fired from the workshop they'd been apprenticing at, had their money taken by thugs, got their remaining arm broken, and were left dying in an alley. Like Penpen, they'd acquired a "Home" and were playing some kind of blacksmith management game… Did they use SP to fix their arm? It didn't say.
"… I wonder if game type really is related to graphics?"
Thinking that, I left a comment. Someone replied agreeing: "That might be it".
Also, there were 3 posts about insta-death cases under the handle "Takuro".
I'd been mildly curious about that. Let's see…
First one:
Started abandoned in a dark cave and the screen was pitch black the whole time.
Could only see the menu and halo.
This doesn't work as a light source?
(Or is it location specific?)
Then before I knew it, something was attacking me… nothing I could do, game over.
Spent an hour on character creation and couldn't see anything during play because of Lord Darkness himself…
That was a case where they should've taken a night vision skill with their SP, considering the starting location. Yep.
Second one:
Dragon sacrifice route, started with no legs.
You'd think I'd have them normally!
Wait, the graphics show it directly?
Yeah, tried to crawl away but got caught easily and nommed.
Geh, I died.
Dragon, was my pride and joy — the one I spent 30 whole minutes creating — tasty…?
I'll kill you someday.
Ahh. Started without both legs. I almost ended up like that too. Close call.
Third one:
Highest starting SP I've had so far.
A crucified girl.
Both arms and legs present, no monsters, even had night vision skill by default for some reason.
Started confidently.
Yeah, I wasn't paying attention.
She was a vampire… right at the start, direct sunlight turned her to ash. I give up, I'm quitting.
… Yikes.
… This Takuro just keeps falling into pitfalls.
Apparently all were 3D action. The first one's screen was pitch black, but probably based on the character creation screen.
Incidentally, their fourth character was currently trying to escape from deep in a dungeon. While being wary of insta-death traps.
Seems they didn't quit after all — well, they're posting on the wiki, so. They'd already paid the initial fee, so I agreed it was worth trying for as long as possible.
Also, starting SP values differ? Didn't know that.
While I was at it, I checked the wiki's "SP" page, and it had grown considerably.
Relatively powerful potions, parameter boosts, new limbs, hair, breast enhancement, and various skills.
Equipment and accessories like guns. Many had special effects or seemed to be ancient civilization relics.
Even at a glance, there was a huge variety of items and upgrades.
… There were both parameter boost items and direct parameter boosts listed separately. What's the difference?
Among the entries, "Home" stood out as especially unique and expensive. But apparently it's mandatory for production types and forced on them during their tutorial. There was a note: "Purchasable only during dedicated tutorial?" It seemed there'd been complaints about it not being displayed at all.
That meant less free initial SP for those players though.
"Home looks fun with all it can do, so I'd like one eventually… So, any ways to earn SP besides leveling up?"
Still no methods discovered. Currently, SP seemed to be one of those "point of no return" elements.
I'd dumped it all into legs. Well, that's what kept me alive, so it was the right call, but maybe I should've kept a bit in reserve.
There were also things like "Reward Pancakes" and "Delicious Steak"… the effects? Character affection boost.
Unfortunately, those were currently the worst items to pick.
The person who added them seemed to be waiting too: "If anyone tries these, please report in the comments."
But someday, if SP becomes freely obtainable, I'd like to give stuff like that to Tria-chan.
