Academy Arc ~ This Is the Main Game! ~
My First Student Council
The other day, the cafeteria "meal with the Heroine and capture target" event had gone off without a hitch.
So she checked what exactly had been talked about with the heroine in question, Summer.
"Um, I was invited to the Student Council."
"! Fufufu, as expected. Just like the scenario, desu wa!"
It felt like some steps had been skipped, but the Heroine joining the Student Council was per the game.
In other words, the story was proceeding smoothly.
"And it seemed His Highness Harks intended to invite you as well, my lady."
"? That is not according to the scenario, is it, desu wa?"
Skipped steps or not, the villainess joining the Student Council wasn't how the game went.
Koleha tilted her head at that.
"… My lady. But isn't this a chance?"
"A chance?"
"Yes. The fact that it differs from the game is proof we're properly riding the ‘serves-you-right' flow. More than anything, if you join the Student Council, it will be easier to gather evidence!"
"Ooh! When you put it that way, you're absolutely right, desu wa!"
Koleha could only agree with Summer.
And so, the next day, when Harks invited her to the Student Council, Koleha cheerfully accepted with, "Very well then—Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho!"
* * *
Thus safely armed with the loner-avoidance excuse of "I have a Student Council meeting," Koleha came to the council room together with Summer (a.k.a. Hiiro Inn), who had likewise been scouted to join.
Along with them was His Highness Harks, who was also joining from this year.
"… Oh? I don't see Lord Kenho."
"Ah. I assigned him to the Executive Committee."
"Putting the right person in the right place, I see."
Apparently, in exchange for Koleha joining, Kenho had been moved out.
So that's how it goes, she thought, turning a blind eye to the deviation.
"Thank you for coming. I am the current Student Council President, Tsuvan Dagon."
"I am the Vice President, Kurushu Nyarlathotep. You know of me, I assume."
An unfamiliar face appeared.
Tsuvan Dagon, a dull-looking boy with dark brown hair… Not a capture target?
To begin with, in the game the Student Council President should have been Harks.
"I intended to hand over the presidency once Your Highness enrolled, but…"
"No, I won't do anything like seizing the presidency without an election."
"Royalty should have that authority, no?"
"Whether I use it is another matter. I want to enjoy academy life too; I have no intention of making myself Student Council President from year one and taking on that headache."
Ah. In the game, he must have accepted unconditionally and become president.
Well, he was capable enough to serve as president. Better to have him than not.
"My, Your Highness? Running from hardship despite being royalty?"
"Harsh, Koleha. But I was looking forward to academy life as well — cut me a little slack."
"… Hmm. I suppose it can't be helped."
And with that, he probably meant to call it "taking a breather" while flirting with the Heroine. Koleha smirked inwardly. The evidence for serves-you-right would pile up fast. Oh, right—she needed to prepare plenty of recording magitech devices! What she'd set aside before enrollment might not be enough!
"Giving orders to royalty does wear on one's nerves, though."
"Hahaha, all I can say is — get used to it. For my part, I see this as a good opportunity to experience being the one of lower status. Don't hold back."
The president shrugged as if to say "good grief".
"Then may I have the three of you handle general affairs right away? There's just so much paperwork. I hear the three of you are quite capable, I'm counting on you."
"But of course. I'm quite good at clerical work, you know?"
Koleha took the documents proactively.
Time to show off how capable she was and establish the pecking order.
(And then, once His Highness has his incompetence rubbed in and gets jealous, he'll "blow off steam" by making a move on the Heroine… This flow! Victory assured, desu wa! Now then, let's see?)
Koleha flipped through and checked the contents of the documents she'd received.
