The Dungeon Town, Karkassa
Yeah, that could be abused in lots of ways.
I changed the bath water. Fwaah~, I soaked so long I got dizzy…
"Man, sorry 'bout that. Got too excited in the bath and went a bit overboard."
"Uuu, you beast… I love you."
"Ahaha. But Karina, you didn't resist either."
True, I didn't, but… Without any enhancements, I'm apparently so fragile, while Mashiro-san is so powerful and, well, yeah. Let's just say it was amazing.
Mashiro-san looked happy as she dried her fur with lifestyle magic and brushed it.
Dewy Mashiro-san is nice, but fluffy Mashiro-san is definitely great too. Love it.
"Still, having free use of the bath, even if it's just for the duration of the job, huh."
"Hm? You can use it even after the job's done, you know?"
When I said that, Mashiro-san tilted her head with her mouth slightly open.
"What're ya saying? I'm an adventurer in Karkassa. I ain't planning to leave town yet. Or are you gonna live in this town too? It's convenient for all sorts of things, and I'd welcome you living at my place."
"Mm, well then. I'll make a door in your house that connects to here. You can come and go whenever you want."
"Hah?"
Mashiro-san's eyes went wide with surprise. Huh, did I not mention that?
"Wait wait. This place is, you know, inside the backpack, isn't it?"
"Hm? That's not it. The backpack just connects to here too… so yeah, you could walk from the dungeon depths to Mashiro-san's house in a few steps through here. Heck, if I'm in another town, it's still just a few steps away."
"… Seriously? I ain't smart, but even I know that's crazy."
Yeah. It could be abused in lots of ways.
"So I'll put some restrictions on where you can go in here, just so you know."
"O-oh. Well, if I can take a bath whenever I want, I got no complaints."
She really does love baths…
Oh, by the way, the old bath water had plenty of Mashiro-san's fur in it, so I can only say I understand why she tends to be disliked at public bathhouses. It'd clog the drain.
"Here's Mashiro-san's room. No furniture yet, but here's the key."
"Yeah! Right next to the bath!"
When I made the room and handed over the key, Mashiro-san smiled so happily it was obvious even with her canine face.
Once the job's done, I'll make a direct path to Mashiro-san's house inside this room.
"Still, this is huge. It's not just bigger than my place, the whole guild could fit in here."
"You're the one who requested it to be fairly spacious, Mashiro-san."
"It's good for exercise, right? It's weird though. It's dark like a dungeon in here, but bright and I can see everything clearly."
The space was like a gymnasium. You could probably play basketball or volleyball here—if you had the equipment and enough people.
"Alright Karina, wanna spar already? You can't use magic. I'll go barehanded too."
"That's a cruel rule for a magic user like me."
"Fine fine, body reinforcement only is okay."
Heh, fool. As long as I'm invincible, I can't lose!!
… There was a time when I thought that too.
"Don't mercilessly punch me in the face just because it doesn't work! Scary scary scary!!"
"Ora! Don't close your eyes or this won't be training! Endure it! If ya don't like it, kick me away to make some distance!"
I'm getting one-sidedly pummeled! Doesn't hurt at all though!
My attacks get dodged and don't land! Geez!!!
"Phew, it's a draw. Worked up a good sweat. Alright, let's hit the bath, Karina! Come on!"
"Ah, ah. Mashiro-san, you're so forceful, but I like that about you…!"
"Also, next time your defensive magic is banned too. I seriously can't get any training done like this."
Eep. W-whatever. I have the strongest Spatial Magic even without training!!
