Beast Kingdom, Terarialbee

This country might be bad for education

Terarialbee, a small nation surrounded by three countries: Tessin, the Gidlarga Empire, and Paverkant Kingdom. We passed through the border without any trouble.

Even the car passed with just "new dwarven creation," so the ID papers from Mie-chan are super convenient.

So. Right now we were driving toward the capital, Teraria-Wan.

"Terarialbee, a country where the capital is barely a day from the border… or rather, it's basically a country that's nothing but its capital."

"Small nations are sometimes like that, Master."

If Aishia, who's got plenty of traveling experience, says so, I'll take her word for it.

Well, in reality, while there were farming villages and frontier settlements around the capital, there was only one post town along the way.

We flew right past that post town in the car though.

"If it's Teraria-Wan, does that mean there's a Teraria-Two?"

"Among the sibling nations here, there's Teraria-Nya and Teraria-Paon."

So it wasn't "one" but a dog's bark, huh.

"Then are the country names like Teraria-Sapphire or Teraria-Scarlet?"

"No, while they are sibling nations, apparently there was originally a large country called Terarial. I've heard that it split through civil war and independence into countries like Terarial-A, Terarial-B, Terarial-C, and so on."

So the country name was "B" not "Ruby." Kind of confusing.

… Well, whatever!

The country we're in is Terarialbee, and our destination is the capital Teraria-Wan!

As long as I know that much, we're good!

Alrighty then. We arrived at the capital Teraria-Wan without any issues.

Once again, Terarialbee. This nation, ruled by the Beast King Barbaros, thrives mainly on tourism.

The main attraction for that tourism is the Coliseum in the capital.

Blood-boiling, flesh-thrilling, blood-splattering spectacles were wildly popular entertainment even in ancient Rome back on Earth. They're just as popular in this world too.

Because they're so popular, the capital Teraria-Wan has multiple arenas besides the central circular grand arena. And apparently some kind of tournament is held every single day.

There seems to be a small tournament at a nearby arena right now, so let's take Aishia and Dea-kun to watch. Apparently dropping by for standing-room viewing is totally fine.

The standing-room admission for this tournament is 5 copper coins, which means 1 medium copper coin. Clink clink for the three of us.

There's a ring in the center, with spectator seating arranged around it. Those areas require purchasing S-seat or A-seat tickets. Since we just dropped by for standing room, we're in the tiered outer section surrounding those seats.

It has a pro wrestling or boxing event kind of vibe. About 80% of the seats around the ring are filled.

About half of them are beastkin, I'd say. Fluffy types like Mashiro-san make up maybe 10%.

"As expected of a beastkin nation, there are lots of beastkin. But there are quite a few other people too."

"Well of course, Master. This is a tourist spot, you know?"

"It seems good for earning foreign currency. Ah, I suppose that's exactly what they're doing."

Right, of course there'd be lots of tourists, us included, since it's a tourist destination.

And Dea-kun's observation is so practical. That part of him is cute too.

After waiting a bit, the match began.

The tournament rules are bare-fisted with no magic. Enhancement magic is also banned, so honestly this is a tournament I'd lose if I entered.

Two men with sun-bronzed rippling muscles—one a bear-eared beastkin, the other human—went at it in a pure fistfight.

Oooh, the sounds of fists smacking against flesh are pretty brutal.

I wonder if showing this to the two beside me is okay… I glanced at Aishia.

"There! Go! Beat him up!! That's it!!"

She's totally into it!! Wait, you cheer like that, Aishia!?

Eh, as a bard, being familiar with trends and things commoners like is just natural, is it?

… What about Dea-kun? glance!

"That punch had such precise aim. I wonder if it's the quality of the muscles…"

He was muttering something while looking at his own slender arms.

D-Dea-kun, please don't go getting all muscular!?

Ugh, this country might be bad for education…!!
