Hidden Village and Dragon

A comfortable flight

The container's interior had a table and sofa set up like a reception room, with carpet laid out on the floor. There was even a bed for napping. A pet cat lay curled up on the sofa, and clear, round windows were set into the floor at each of the four corners.

Arthur lifted the container, and we floated gently into the sky.

"Huh!? It really is super light!"

"Yeah, that's what I said. Oh, and no matter how fast you fly, there won't be any G-forces inside, so feel free to go all out."

"What's a G?"

"You know how when you move really fast it goes gwah? That."

"Ohh, that thing!"

… The concept of G-forces, explained via gwah. And it got through, somehow.

By the way, this whole conversation was in Draconic, with my head poking out of the container's ceiling.

I ducked back inside.

"Alrighty, time for a comfortable flight! Check out the view through the floor windows."

"… W-We're flying…! For real!"

Youki-chan, the oni girl, was peering through the floor window, seemingly moved by the sight of the ground falling away. Aishia was glued to it too, murmuring, "Inspiration! This could work for a new hymn praising Master!"

"Aren't you going to look, Dea-kun?"

"I've flown on Arthur before, so…"

He said, looking a bit proud. Cute.

As for me, I can just fly normally with Spatial Magic, so there's no need for me to watch.

"What about you, Misha? Don't wanna see?"

"More importantly, why am I even here, nya??"

"Well, I figured a cramped space could use some healing presence."

I'd casually summoned Misha right when I deployed the container.

If attendants are allowed, then a pet counts as an attendant too, right? Healing is important. Healing.

"Would you rather be back at base having the Five Elders poke at your butt for research?"

"… Make sure you send me home at night, nya?"

"By the way, we're heading to the oni tribe's hidden village. Wanna tag along?"

"Ooh, what's that? Sounds fun. I'll tag along, nya!"

Love that about you, bestie. Always up for anything.

"U-Um, adding more companions without permission is…"

"Huh? You said attendants are fine, right? Don't worry, I'll provide her food myself!"

"Don't call it food, nya, Karina! But you know, I'm actually pretty strong, so I can pull my weight, nya?"

Misha slung an arm around Youki's shoulders, instantly chummy with someone she'd just met.

She's actually got pretty good people skills, Misha. Youki, on the other hand, looked more bothered than anything.

"By the way, we're up against a dragon that demands sacrifices."

"Oi Karina, actually I wanna go home, so open the door, nya."

"But you just said you'd come! Dea-kun's totally pumped for this, you know!?"

"Don't drag Dea-chan into this, nya… Tch, fine, can't be helped, nya… Wait, hold on, nya!? What is this!? The ground is way down there, nya!? Amazing!!"

Misha said happily, peering through the window. Glad she's enjoying herself.

"Also, we're going crazy fast, nya! Way faster than any carriage, nya!"

"Well, Arthur's the one carrying us. A Thunder Dragon's speed is no joke. Oh, Youki-chan, let me know when we're getting close to the village."

"Y-Yes."

Arthur turned out to be faster than I'd expected, and we arrived at the village that same night.
