The 'Kuh, kill me!' Female Knight
Yeah, Let's Go to the Dungeon
"Right, so why don't you dual wield swords?"
"Two swords…!? That means fighting twice as well and being twice as strong!"
What a simpleton. Dual wielding isn't that easy. There's arm strength and all sorts of other things to consider.
But nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I lent her my spare weapon, a golem blade.
However, when I had her try some practice swings, it just didn't feel right to her.
"Hmm, I'm still not used to it after all. Fighting with a single sword is ingrained in me, so… ah."
Mid-swing, the golem blade snapped clean in two. It was practically a brand new sword, and it broke just like that… Was this Sion's doing?
Looks like dual wielding is a no-go. Sion seems to be a pretty jealous magic sword.
It'd probably be impossible unless the other weapon had [Indestructible] or something on it.
"I-I broke Master's magic sword…!"
"Yeah. Well, don't worry about it. I'll just send you the bill separately."
"Y-you say not to worry but then ask for money!?"
"Your family's loaded. There's no reason for me to hold back."
"In that case, I-I'll pay with my body!"
The moment Shikina declared that, Niku not-so-subtly stepped between us.
"No."
"Umm… senpai? Why?"
"No."
"This is my problem, so I cannot cause trouble for my house!"
"No."
"… M-Master…!"
I gave Niku some pats on the head and flicked Shikina on the forehead.
"Don't go selling your body so cheaply. But I'll cut you a deal and let you pay me back once you've made it in life. If you don't want to trouble your house, then repay me yourself someday."
"Y-yes sir!"
"Niku, no complaints about that, right?"
"… Goshujin-sama."
"Hmm? What's up?"
"If you're going to make a move on someone, I think there's someone you should make a move on first."
I-is she talking about Rokuko? She is my partner, after all.
After that, we hunted one iron golem and had Shikina carry it back as training.
"[Body Enhancement] aaaaah! Hnngh! Sir!"
I honestly thought there was no way she could carry a human-sized lump of iron, but she managed to heft it onto her back through the power of her skill. She had to recast it every thirty seconds, though.
Even Gozoh, a dwarf, uses a cart for this. Skills are amazing.
… Or maybe it's just that Shikina herself is amazing?
* * *
"Well, long story short, it looks like she'll be usable as long as she brings a massive amount of spare clothes. Also, if Gozoh invites me to hunt iron golems, I can foist Shikina on him instead."
"Hmm."
Rokuko came to my room, so I was filling her in on today's events.
By the way, Shikina had collapsed from exhaustion after hauling the iron golem out of the dungeon.
As expected, spamming [Body Enhancement] like that took a toll on her body. When I asked Ichika about it, she said you normally need some cooldown time between casts. I decided to let Shikina rest for the day.
"Hey, Kehma. When you, umm, saw Shikina's clothes burst open… y-your heart didn't race, right?"
"Not in the slightest. She's just too disappointing in too many ways. There's zero sex appeal. She has such good raw materials, though…"
Yeah. Blonde elf, (former) female knight, boobs, thighs, and great legs… she has quite the package, yet her behavior ruins all of it.
She'd be cute if she just kept her mouth shut.
I took another look at Rokuko.
Blonde hair; currently a loli but able to go big too, making her a two-for-one deal; legs in white knee-high socks, and well-shaped feet. The cute pinkish tint on her soles (important).
By the way, what I like about feet, the soles in particular, is the "pad" area. The part that corresponds to the paw pads on cats and dogs.
I love the round little toes and the plump area right at their base――ah, they're right in front of me, I almost got lost staring. Got off topic there… to put it mildly, I want to squish them.
"… Rokuko also has some great raw materials, huh~"
"What, do you have a complaint? … Tell me, I'll fix it."
"No, not really. Not with you, Rokuko."
Honestly, I have no complaints about Rokuko. I think she's cute, and I don't dislike her somewhat foolish personality.
She's also a straightforward hard worker. Before I knew it, she'd learned all sorts of things and become more capable.
There may be differences in our species and lifespan, but that just means she'll stay young and beautiful for as long as I live, right? I feel bad that I'll probably die first, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
And above all, she's told me that she likes me.
Yeah. Honestly, I like Rokuko too.
… It's just that she comes with a super scary Onee-san attached.
I'm pretty sure Haku-san is keeping tabs on me as long as I'm inside the empire.
In that case, maybe it'd be a good idea to go abroad. I've been curious about Wakoku, too.
"Hey, Rokuko… How about going on a trip abroad sometime?"
"Huh? Kehma, are you okay? Do you have a fever? Have you been sleeping properly?"
"… Did I really say something that weird?"
"Yes, you did! Kehma, you're the kind of person who'd stay in bed and laze around all day if you could. There's no way you'd suggest going abroad for no reason."
A smile slipped onto my face. She really does get me.
"Yeah, maybe that stupid elf threw me off a bit. I think I'll call it a day and go to sleep."
"Oh, then do you want to use the Divine Comforter? If it's right now, I come included at no extra charge."
"Well, yeah, using it without you there is terrifying…"
As an aside, I once experimented by having a goblin use the Divine Comforter. It shriveled up and died.
Even though Rokuko said it would be fine as long as she gave permission.
According to her, "I guess I just don't want anyone besides Kehma using it," she said… but it's way too dangerous for casual use.
"Hey, can I sleep with you tonight?"
"… Next to me, sure. But bring your own futon."
"By the way, that OOO thing the elf mentioned earlier, I want you to tell me more about it, Kehma~"
"Hmm, that word is vulgar, so don't say it. Especially never in front of Haku-san. Absolutely not."
If you really want to know, ask Ichika… No, I might get killed if it goes through Ichika. Please stay pure, Rokuko. Please.
