The Aspiring-Ojou-sama-type Dungeon Streamer

'Slime Falls' Boss Slime

Following the zaa-zaa of rushing water, they found a massive red boss slime bathing in the falls.

Ryutanji Karona Channel: Comments

[Kokuyou]: "Ojou-sama. This is a Red Huge Slime. Its weakness is the Lightning attribute, but it is stationed at the waterfall, so please beware of splash damage. Additionally, physical attacks do not land well."

Dungeon Braver: Comments

[Mikoto]: "My apologies! According to guild records, this boss has strong resistance to physical and blunt attacks. The matchup is poor for Dungeon Braver, so please don't push it and withdraw instead!"

Advice came filtering in through the comments from each of their Secretary AIs.

"… Yes, I can see it. Half-baked ranged attacks are just going to get swallowed, and that'll be the end of it."

"Right? Slime Falls was perfectly suited for Slime Golf practice, but I figured the boss would turn out to be exactly this."

As Dungeon Braver's leader, Yamato had probably sensed as much from experience.

Or rather, it stood to reason: if you dive into a dungeon stuffed with nothing but slimes, the boss is going to be a slime too, and since it's the boss, it's going to be a huge slime. Not exactly a stretch of the imagination.

"Looks like we just fight this one the old-fashioned way, right, leader?"

"The receptionist said to run, but if it starts looking hopeless we can pull back then."

"Yeah. Yuuta, Sakura. Let's go!"

The members of Dungeon Braver raised their weapons.

Just then, the Huge Slime went hyun! and flung something their way.

Karona smoothly, utterly naturally, stepped into the path of it. And with a clean bachikon, she knocked the "something" right back with her Mithril parasol.

"Hmm. A little slime, this one. A child… no, a split-off, perhaps?"

"Huh, so this is… a batting cage, basically?"

Yamato grinned. He flipped his sword around and gripped it like a baseball bat.

"Ah, right, right. As you can see, with Slime Golf you can also knock enemy attacks straight back. Theoretically, you can even return magic."

"… You can hit magic, too?"

Ryutanji Karona Channel: Comments

"are you really gonna casually drop such a huge ultimate technique right at the start of a boss fight???"

"ojou, you can really return magic?"

"i've never seen you do it on stream though…? can you really?"

"Urk. This is purely in theory. More like, assuming you used a proper weapon for it… But hold on, if a shield can catch magic, then it's basically a physical phenomenon, isn't it? There's no reason it shouldn't be returnable!"

"Fair point. Now that you put it that way, I'm starting to feel like I could hit one."

Dungeon Braver: Comments

"yamato. you're getting yourself nicely conned, aren't you?"

"she's saying 'in theory.' would be dope if you could do it though"

"a shield can catch it, so maybe…? maybe?"

"no no, that's literally the 'in theory' part"

"I'd love for any advanced players watching this stream to give it a shot!! Though I can't guarantee it'll work at all."

"It's like scooping an incoming water ball with a ladle and throwing it back. Which, now that I think about it, isn't exactly impossible, is it?"

"Oh. Yamato-sama, you've got good instincts. That's the idea~!"

Come to think of it, a high-level player might actually be able to pull it off. That mood began to spread through the comments.
