The Ojou-sama Catches the Public Eye...!?

The Ojou-sama Gets Scouted.

BCD has a mail function. You can mail friends, and you can also receive official announcements, along with documents needed for your tax filing, such as payment-record statements, withholding certificates, and so on.

So that you don't miss important messages, certain mails display on the home screen in red as "A new message has arrived from Management." (Friend messages and ordinary announcements only get a "new" mark in the mailer as notification.)

And that was exactly what was displayed on the home screen when Karona logged into BCD.

"Ah, a-ara? Did I go and do something, I wonder…?"

As for messages from the official account she might have anticipated, her tax filing had been taken care of by Sebas just recently, so the only associations she could muster for this particular alert were unpleasant ones. One of those notifications that come with the B-Caster territory…

Monetization stripping…!!

If something rights-problematic ended up on-screen and the damage is confined to just a single video, you've gotten off easy. In the worst case, income for the B-Caster themselves can be revoked. The so-called channel BAN.

Once that happens, stream-related income goes to zero in one stroke, and SuperChats are frozen and then seized. Only dungeon clear rewards remain as income.

… And for particularly malicious streamers, apparently even their clear rewards get slapped with a reduction penalty. Way too scary.

Now, then.

In any case, if you tap that red "A new message has arrived from Management," the mail opens right up… but honestly, she didn't want to see it. Not seeing it, though, doesn't change the monetization stripping one bit; in fact, if she doesn't see it, she can't even file an appeal.

"Please let it be something else, please let it be something else, please let it be something else…!"

Praying, Karona gave the mail a little tap.

… And with one eye cracked half-open, she checked the mail screen.

The sender was, without question, Management. And the all-important subject line was…

"Corporate Inquiry: Hoshizora Production."

"… This is. C-Could it be…!?"

Clatter! Karona sprang to her feet. Nervously, she scanned the body of the mail.
