The Aspiring-Ojou-sama-type Dungeon Streamer
Multi Dungeon: 'Slime Falls' (2)
And with that, the Slime Golf tutorial began.
"First, there's one thing I'd like to apologize for in advance…"
Ryutanji Karona Channel: Comments
"huh?"
"what's this??"
Dungeon Braver: Comments
"opening move: apology?"
"what is it, what is it"
"Something to apologize for…?"
"What could it be. A Unique Skill only Karona-chan can use or something?"
"No! This is a technique anyone can use with proper training! It's just, um…"
Karona's face grew solemn as she spoke.
"The truth is, I said 'Slime Golf,' but… it's not necessarily golf!!"
Ryutanji Karona Channel: Comments
"… u, uh huh"
"y, yeah? you were swinging while walking around and stuff"
"the clip video. i saw it i saw it"
Dungeon Braver: Comments
"wasn't golf to begin with though…?"
"huh, that's it?"
"what do you call this, super conscientious lol"
"Huh, that's it?"
"'That's it,' you say, Yamato-sama!? It is because golf is known as a gentleman's and lady's sport that you came to me, an Ojou-sama, seeking instruction! Is that not so!?"
"Uh, ah… y, yeah! Right! That's right! Of course it was!"
Ryutanji Karona Channel: Comments
"who-cares-who-cares! ojou, no one cares!?"
"knew it lmaooo"
"ojou!? you seriously think slime golf is a gentleman's and lady's sport!?"
Dungeon Braver: Comments
"wh, what!? slime golf wasn't a gentleman's and lady's sport!?"
"hmm… that's a bit of a snag for me, this is"
"no wait. but this is our yamato. there's a real chance he just forgot!"
Karona's viewers and Yamato's viewers each chimed in.
If anything, Yamato's Dungeon Braver viewers, fanname "Porter" (porter, as in baggage-carrier; the name came from the idea that they tag along without participating in combat), had the better vibe going.
"So I feel truly, truly terrible… are you really okay with that? A sport that, maybe, isn't strictly gentleman's and lady's!"
"No problem. It might sound rude to put it this way, but what we're after isn't so much the philosophy of Slime Golf as the practical benefit. As long as we can land a cheap ranged attack, we have no complaints."
"… That's a separate matter, but the heart of wanting to be frugal with your yen… I accept it! Very well! In that case, let the lesson begin!"
Karona gave a satisfied nod.
Ryutanji Karona Channel: Comments
"ah, it was roleplay. you got me there… it was roleplay right?"
"yamato-san's such a good dude… couldn't have asked for a better first-collab partner for ojou"
"s, sorry about our ojou…! there's slightly more than a fifty-fifty chance she half meant it"
Dungeon Braver: Comments
"don't mention it"
"hehe, that's our yamato for ya"
"your Ojou-sama's kinda cool too. not bad, not bad"
Thanks to Karona's utterly pointless apology, the viewers of both streams, through each other's comment feeds, somehow ended up on friendly terms.
Viewers from different streamers who would normally never cross paths warming up to each other: that, too, is one of the charms of a collab stream.
"Now then, first, the basic stance. Of course we'll start with the golf stance."
Karona lured in a slime, pinned it down with a soft gyu from her parasol, and showed Yamato and the others the red core sitting right at the slime's center.
"Aim here. The core at the middle. However, its position can shift slightly up or down depending on the slime's size, so being able to judge that is crucial."
"Hmm. Actually, this slime's core is bigger than a golf ball."
"Yes, which makes it easier to hit than in real golf. Though if you don't strike the sweet spot, it won't fly."
And so she rolled out a slime for real and, with a golf swing, shiiiing, sent the slime flying. Whoooo! The slime soared in a clean parabola.
"If you make solid contact with the center, even a light swing sends it flying about this far. A light swing won't punch through the core, but for practice that's more than enough."
"For something as soft as a slime, they fly pretty far, huh."
"Most likely, the slime is 'guarding.' It stiffens up and flies like a springy ball."
"Now you all give it a try," Karona urged the three members of Dungeon Braver.
"Well then… whoa, it went splat on me."
"Wagh, my crowbar got stuck!"
"Ara!? Just the core flew off. Did I hit it too hard?"
Yamato burst the slime, Yuuta had his weapon seized by it, and Sakura sent just the core popping cleanly away.
"Sakura-sama, that was a success. You've got a knack for it. Yes, when you follow all the way through, it flies just like that."
"Oh, I see. Flying off is fine, right!"
"Yes. And then you just smack it into an enemy."
Karona smiled. Ufufu.
Ryutanji Karona Channel: Comments
"ohhh, nice one sakura-chan"
"yamato had a super golf-looking swing and still whiffed it huh. too much power maybe"
Dungeon Braver: Comments
"yeah sakura's always been the dextrous one of the bunch"
"yuuta, for a thief class who should have high dex, he's kind of bad at this stuff huh"
"[150 JPY] go for it yamato. get yourself a juice with this"
"Oh, thanks for the SuperChat. I'll use it during the break."
"… Nnngh! That's how it's done…!"
Watching Yamato accept a SuperChat live mid-stream, Karona, as a fellow streamer, couldn't help feeling a little envious.
She glanced, and glanced again, at the comments, at the camera, at the Karonites.
Ryutanji Karona Channel: Comments
"[100 JPY] … here, ojou!"
"[100 JPY] this is what you wanted, isn't it? greedy little thing!"
"[300 JPY] we can't lose either…!"
"Hyoh!? I, I'm sorry for practically begging like that! Thank you so much, everyone~!"
"You're pretty well loved, huh. Both of us."
"Yes, we're very grateful."
The SuperChats had genuinely come at her nudging, and while she did feel guilty, Karona couldn't stop her cheeks from loosening into a grin.
